I thought it would be fun to review Bacon Hot Sauce. A total gimmick, this hot sauce could have been soooooooo much better. As a bacon aficionado, I wasn’t expecting much from a bottle with a flaming pig on the label, but this was very disappointing. The aroma had a hint of bacon, along with an abundant smell of Alpo (dog food). The taste reminded me of what a chipotle Tapatio might taste like, if they made one (which I have never seen).
The powdered ingredients in the sauce, ground New Mexico chili, the label said, was floating in the sauce looking like rust. This sauce is watery and with its poor taste, I wouldn’t want to try it again.
As a gag gift for a bacon-loving friend, have fun with it. But put it on a shelf, unopened, and leave it there!
